Radio and Television Program Production
General Information
Radio and Television are among the most important communication tools that inform, guide, and contribute to general culture. The aim of this program is to initiate radio and TV broadcasting activities in the region, introduce students to filming, recording, and handling equipment, and familiarize them with a general studio environment. In addition, the program provides foundational knowledge on program production, scriptwriting, editing, and other related practices.
The program’s curriculum, which covers concepts related to radio and TV broadcasting, includes courses such as Introduction to Radio-TV Broadcasting, Cinematography, Editing, Writing Techniques for Radio and Television, Lighting, Radio-TV Journalism, Computer Applications (specific to the field), Professional Foreign Language, and Fine Arts. These courses combine both theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline.
At the end of the two-year program, each student prepares a final project, which could be a television or radio program, documentary, short film, or a corporate project related to the field. During their internship period, our students begin working at radio and TV broadcasting companies, production companies, or agencies related to the field. Through hands-on internship experiences, they gain valuable skills and enter the professional world with greater confidence.
The aim of the Radio and Television Programming program is to train intermediate-level professionals for radio and television. Our graduates are able to work as assistant directors, production assistants, scriptwriters, reporters, cameramen, and sound and lighting technicians. They can find employment in both public and private radio and television stations.
